Hi again.

It’s been a while. Remember that feeling you had when your child was an infant and the days passed by in a blur? Then weeks passed and months and then, suddenly, you woke up one day, as if from a fog, and you asked yourself, “What just happened?” Maybe you’re still in that space. If so, other parents are probably telling you to relish it. I know you are, in your own way. I also know that that space can feel unsettling, or perhaps even challenging, as you struggle to find your footing or some sense of direction and there may even be times when you feel eager to move past it even while trusting that all is and will be well.

After all, as welcome as this change in your home may have been, it was still a change and change, on any level, can take time to adjust to and to process. Whether change is expected or unexpected, it can also be downright difficult. Still, you’ve likely heard the saying, “We don’t grow by chance, we grow through change.”

This is similar to what I’ve been feeling these past few years. Since we started this business, simply put, I’ve been in survival mode, particularly while operating during the pandemic and adjusting to the idea (and reality) of being a sole business owner. As you likely know, survival mode is useful in that it can help us move through changes that might otherwise feel insurmountable, but it’s not healthy to stay in that mode forever.

All that being said, I am deeply grateful for everything I’ve learned over these past few years and the ways in which I have grown. I know I’ve fumbled at times and still have a lot to learn, but I’ve learned to be ok with that. I also haven’t taken as much time as I’d like to write, and I heard that blogs are no longer on trend, but given that I’ve never been one to adhere to trends, I’m going to attempt to write more here, for myself, but also for you. I’d love to share more of the insights I’ve gained as a mother, as a Montessori guide and as small business owner with you.

On that note, I’d love to hear from you! What would benefit you? What do you want to want to learn more about? If you’re currently in survival mode and need support more than information, I can offer that as well. Take sweet care, and I’ll touch base again shortly.
